Watch ants live, work and tunnel in the nutritious and non-toxic gel as they create series upon series of intricate tunnels. Since the ants can eat the gel, you'll never need to provide food or water, and since the gel is clear, you'll be able to watch the tunnel architecture in 3D, a far more in-depth perspective than traditional, soil-based ant farms. A red or green LED base is included in this kit to illuminate the habitat at night.

The AntWorks Illuminated includes a container with a special gel formulation, the LED base, and a magnifying glass with which one can even see hairs on the ants! You'll get the tunnels started, but the ants will do the real work, creating their own environment of walls, hills, and tunnels.
